Integrating Theory of Knowledge in IBDP Classrooms

In a dynamic professional development session, IBDP teachers from different subject groups presented short activities demonstrating how 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 (𝐓𝐎𝐊) can be seamlessly incorporated into everyday classroom practice. Each presentation highlighted opportunities to engage students with knowledge questions and cultivate critical thinking across disciplines. Teachers also linked these explorations to TOK essay titles from previous years, illustrating practical ways to connect classroom learning with TOK assessment requirements. The collaborative exchange underscored that TOK is a shared pedagogical responsibility across all subjects, enriching both teaching and learning through reflective inquiry and interdisciplinary understanding.
