It’s an exciting, five-day journey into understanding engineering and design at a very innovative level, while creating solutions that can have a significant impact.
All school students in Bangladesh, boys or girls, aged between 11-16 years of age are eligible to participate. Knowledge of English is required. The workshop will be held at the world-standard Haileybury Bhaluka campus. The workshop is fully residential – students will stay for the full period of five days (check in on 10th June 2024 night; checkout on 15th June 2024 afternoon). And no, you cannot skip the nights and come back every morning. It’s mandatory to be present throughout the five days as many projects will require out-of-classroom interactions that will run into any time of the day or night.
Well, this is the first time that MIT instructors in person are flying in from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the world’s #1 university (QS 2024 rankings), to guide the workshop participants. The certificate will be provided by the Edgerton Center at MIT after successful completion of the programme.
The total cost of participation per student is USD 750 (BDT 82,500) all-inclusive. The fee covers your stay and full boarding at the world-standard Haileybury Bhaluka boarding houses. The fee also covers all participation equipment.
If you ever wondered how underwater robotics worked, or wanted to create an AI powered wheelchair, or even a hand-held pollution mapping device, then this workshop opens up your mind and teaches you the techniques to innovate for a significant impact.
And yes, if you wanted to participate in the Harry Potter quidditch competition, and that too underwater, then you just cannot miss this workshop.
