We encourage you to take your time in making sure Haileybury Bhaluka is the right school for your son. Before applying all families are invited to visit our school in person. School tours can be arranged via our online forms, and we would be pleased to arrange a school tour by appointment:

The admissions team welcomes families from diverse backgrounds for discussions on how we can support a student's needs and aspirations. We can also arrange for you to meet one of our school leaders and our international school counsellor. We recommend you come and visit on a normal school day, during term time, to fully appreciate the special spirit that defines Haileybury Bhaluka.

You can submit applications at any time of the year. Application forms are available for download on the applications page. Please submit it in person at the Dhaka admissions office or online to the Admissions team. Each application form (one per child) must be accompanied by specific supporting documents and the Application Fee. The required documents at this stage include:

  1. Recent passport size photographs of student, father and mother
  2. Recent passport size photographs each, of two emergency contacts (other than parents)
  3. A copy of student's Municipal birth certificate / passport
  4. A copy of student's most recent Report Card / Transfer Certificate
  5. A copy of the parent’s TIN Certificate
  6. A copy of the parent NID

In addition, if your son has any special needs or disabilities, parents are required to inform the school at this point and furnish comprehensive written details and reports prepared by an Educational Psychologist or another qualified specialist, if available. Parents should understand that the school retains the right to withdraw a place from a prospective or current student if special needs or disabilities have not been disclosed. Additional information on Special Educational Needs can be found in the admissions FAQs specific to the relevant campus, accessible via the link provided below:

Before assessment, the Application Fee of $150 per application should be settled. Payment can be made in cash at the Accounts Department, via online payment, or via bank transfer. Payment details can be found on the Fees page of the school.

It's important to note that the fee structure remains the same across all year groups.

All applications undergo a thorough review by the Headmaster. If an applicant meets the Selection Criteria, they will then be invited to the school for an assessment.

The Assessment Process and Selection Criteria vary depending on the child's age and the entry point into the school, typically involving an entrance assessment test (CAT4).

In addition to evaluating current academic and linguistic abilities, our procedures assess the applicant's character and their potential to thrive in our dynamic learning environment. This process also helps us identify any specific support needs the applicant may require to achieve their goals and determine if Haileybury Bhaluka is the right school for them.

(Please be aware that we do not assess applicants any earlier than 12 months before the intended enrollment date, and a place will not be offered until the school is satisfied that all entry criteria, including successful assessment, have been met. If a family applies significantly in advance of the intended enrollment date, they should expect a considerable delay before further action is taken regarding assessment and decision).

For more information on our assessment process and criteria, please refer to the Admissions FAQs.

Each child's application, including the application form, assessment results, and reports from previous schools, will be reviewed by the Headmaster. The Headmaster will ultimately decide whether to extend an offer. After the decision has been made, parents will receive notification from a member of the Admissions Team regarding the application's next steps.

In cases where an applicant meets the necessary criteria and standards but no vacancies are currently available, they will be placed on the waiting list. Once an offer is accepted, the Admission Fee will be required to be paid.

Upon a successful application, a Letter of Acceptance will be presented, along with an Acceptance of Place Form, details about Medical Insurance, an invoice for the Admission Fee, and a copy of the School’s Terms & Conditions booklet. (Please be advised that the School’s Terms & Conditions are periodically updated, and the current version is always accessible on the Parent Portal.)

The Acceptance of Place Form must be duly signed and returned along with the Admission Fee within the specified timeframe outlined in the Letter of Acceptance. Failure to adhere to the deadline stated in the Letter of Acceptance may result in the withdrawal of the offer, with the place being allocated to another applicant.

Prior to enrollment at Haileybury Bhaluka, families are required to submit any outstanding documents and fees due for the first term (or any remaining portion thereof).
